In a snappy comeback nearly a decade in the making, sports entertainment superstar Roman Reigns quipped today AEW should try to “make Punk look strong.”

Reigns mimed dropping an imaginary microphone.

It has been nine years since CM Punk sparked a viral catch-phrase among wrestling dorks by claiming he was urged emphatically to “make Roman look strong,” a backhanded humblebrag-insult.

Over those nine years, Roman Reigns went on to become the most dominant WWE champion of a generation, and Punk occasionally wrestles for AEW when he’s not squabbling with people there.

A few years ago, Reigns reportedly told the UFC that it should “make Punk look strong,” but that appeal clearly fell on deaf ears.
