“I’m here to stay,” Rock tells WWE fans before three-month absence
Professional wrestler and Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson assured fans that he was finally back “home” in WWE to stay, right before vanishing from WWE programming for more than 80 days and counting.
“I stand before you as your People’s Champion,” he said during his most recent address to the people roughly 12 weeks ago.
The Rock has not appeared, or even been mentioned, on WWE programming since the day after WrestleMania 28, when he delivered an impassioned speech about his new “vision” of once again becoming WWE Champion.
“For those of you who think this is the end, The Rock guaran-damn-tees that this is just the beginning!” he said during his final contractual obligation with WWE.
Moments later, John Cena resisted the urge to tweet the phrase “Told ya so.”
