Fans of professional wrestling are abuzz with anticipation for tonight’s WWE pay-per-view spectacular, Battleground, reverentially nicknamed “The Eleventh-Grandest Stage of Them All.”

The event, which is wrestling’s equivalent of the NFC Divisional Round Semifinal Game 2, will be attended by nearly 14,000 fans from at least two different countries!

Though not nearly as grand as WrestleMania, The Royal Rumble, Survivor Series or even Extreme Rules, tonight’s event promises to be somewhat grander than many of WWE’s 47 other annual pay-per-views.

Over its rich three-year history, Battleground has also earned the nickname “The Showcase of the Mortals.”
