Cena’s quick and devastating loss to The Undertaker has landed him a spot back in wrestling school.

After a lackluster showing against The Undertaker at WrestleMania, John Cena has been ordered to spend several months re-training at the WWE Performance Center in Florida until he is deemed ready to be called up to the main roster.

Cena barely mounted any offense in the much-hyped WrestleMania showdown — a quintessential “squash” match that lasted a mere 2 minutes and 45 seconds — leading WWE brass to conclude that his apparent “ring rust” necessitates substantial work at the company’s developmental training facility.

Despite being a 16-time world champion and one of the most recognized stars of the sport, Cena “clearly has some polishing-up to do,” according to a backstage source who identified himself only as P. Levesque.

Starting tomorrow, Cena will take a number of beginner-level and “refresher” courses at the Performance Center, including:

  • Running the Ropes 101
  • Bumping for Beginners
  • Hooking the Leg for Pinning Success!
  • Introduction to Thigh-Slapping for Sound
  • Slow Ladder Climbing for Drama

Trainers believe that, after several months of retraining, Cena will be ready for a rematch against The Undertaker at WrestleMania next year, and may last a full four minutes next time.
