A conspiracy theorist claims to have video evidence that proves a claim held by 9/11 “truthers” — that the Twin Towers were brought down by a controlled Demolition. 

However, he is apparently confusing the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on New York City with a footage of a 1990 WWF tag team bout pitting Demolition (Ax and Smash) against the Twin Towers (Akeem and The Big Boss Man). 

“This footage is the smoking gun we’ve been waiting for,” said 47-year-old wingnut Shawn Marley, clutching a VHS copy of Coliseum Home Video’s Best of the WWF Vol. 23. 

Marley insists that the “official story” about the fate of the Twin Towers is a cover-up perpetuated by Slick, a jive soul bro who always lies to his friends. 

This is just the latest in a series of zany conspiratorial allegations made by Marley, who clearly has trouble distinguishing real life from professional wrestling feuds. He has also suggested:

• The Max Moon landing was faked
• It was Dave Hebner, not Earl, who screwed Bret
• Mr. America was actually Hulk Hogan in disguise
• The Giant Machine was actually Andre The Giant in disguise

Marley’s most preposterous conspiracy theory, however, is his insane suggestion that the results of professional wrestling matches are pre-determined. Tin foil hats, anyone?
