Business just picked up for this Sunday’s SummerSlam showdown between Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor, because WWE announced today that the bout will be a Bloodbucket on a Pole match.

The innovative stipulation was added this morning by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, who won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics by dumping a bucket of blood on his Iranian opponent, Abbas “The Sultan” Jadidi.

To win the match at SummerSlam, one man must retrieve a bucket of blood — or “viscous acidic liquid,” as commentators will describe it to prevent the loss of sponsors — from a tall pole above a ringpost, and then pour it over his opponent’s head.

Wyatt clearly has the advantage, having already doused Balor in one bucket of blood this week, but backstage sources reveal that Balor has been receiving bucket-dumping training from the Godwinns, Henry and Phineas.

Fans are beginning to speculate that controversial writer Vince Russo is back at the helm of WWE’s Creative Team, since SummerSlam will also feature special guest appearances by Jay Leno, David Arquette, and RoboCop.
