Following the scandal-ridden recent departure of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) boss Vince McMahon, the company has appointed McMahon’s successor, Scott D’Mahon.
D’Mahon, a Windsor-based entrepreneur, said in a statement that his focus is to “ensure the action in WWE is totally non-stop.”
The appointment of D’Mahon has already resulting in some interesting changes within WWE, such as:
- WrestleMania will now be headlined by Cody Rhodes vs. Josh Alexander
- The Rock vs. Roman Reigns will now be expanded to an Ultimate X Six-Way Dance including Frankie Kazarian, Jake Something, Eric Young and Alex Shelley
- The Canadian national anthem will precede all WWE events, regardless of the country in which they’re held
One anonymous WWE insider reports D’Mahon is “not demonic” and thus a “big step up” from the previous boss.
