Having run roughshod through the entire WWE roster, overturning ambulances and tractor trailers in his path of destruction, Braun Strowman is finally ready to make the next logical step in his trajectory: reviving the “streaker” character previously played by WWE legend Naked Mideon.

Mideon (real name Phineas I. Godwinn) was arguably the most popular and respected sports-entertainer during WWE’s so-called Attitude Era — eclipsing even The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Damien Demento — and nobody since has been able to fill his (lack of) shoes.

“It is time for Strowman to grab that proverbial brass ring and get naked,” writes veteran wrestling journalist Dan Mutzler. “If WWE wants to recapture the ratings and profits of the Attitude Era, the only way to do it is by unleashing Naked Strowman.

According to backstage sources within WWE, Strowman has been vying for months for the opportunity to run naked through arenas, and has been experimenting with the gimmick at non-televised “house shows,” competing in just a strategically placed fannypack.

A little-known fact about Strowman is that he is related to the Godwinn family (Henry O. Goddwinn is his brother-in-law), while the rest of Strowman’s lineage is, of course, connected to the Anoa’i family.

Strowman is expected to unveil his Naked Strowman persona at WrestleMania, when he takes on Cesaro and Sheamus with with a yet-to-be-named tag partner (SPOILER ALERT: it’s Mordecai).
