Masked wrestler Sin Cara, whose high-flying arsenal has been grounded due to a knee injury, is expected to return to action — only to promptly re-injure himself — during Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Through a translator, the popular luchador said at a press conference that he is medically cleared to wrestle and “looking forward to getting back in the ring, then heading straight back to the hospital.”

It is expected that Sin Cara will attempt to eliminate The Great Khali from the Royal Rumble with a top-rope hurricarana, but will instead break his own clavicle by horribly botching the move.

Despite arriving in the WWE amid much hype and fanfare in 2011, the acrobatic Mexican has been plagued by injuries due to such clumsily executed maneuvers.

It is expected that Sin Cara will recover from his forthcoming injury just in time for February’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, where he will likely dislocate his shoulder.
