bruno sammartino hall of fameLegendary professional wrestler Koko B. Ware has lashed out at World Wrestling Entertainment for choosing to induct an “overrated jobber” like Bruno Sammartino into its Hall of Fame this year.

“If Sammartino is going into the Hall of Fame, I renounce my own induction” said Ware, his parrot Frankie squawking noisily and flapping its colorful wings.

Ware has reportedly put his commemorative Hall of Fame ring up for sale on Ebay, with a starting bid of a mere $5 because “it’s basically worthless,” he said.

Ware, who gained worldwide fame during the 1980s for his long championship reigns and his lead vocals on the #1 hit single “Piledriver,” suggested that fans should boycott the Hall of Fame ceremony if WWE proceeds to induct “that jabroni Sammartino.”

Ware has launched a petition against the induction of Sammartino, and has already obtained signatures from fellow wrestling legends and Hall of Famers Pete Rose, William “Refrigerator” Perry and Bob Uecker.
