“I’m gay,” admits athlete in world’s gayest sport
Darren Young, an attractive athlete who play-fights with with other half-naked men in the world’s gayest sport, shocked the world today by announcing he is gay.
Young, who routinely wraps his arms around the rippling bare shoulders of tag team partner Titus O’Neil to perform a signature dance, came out of the closet on TMZ today.
“I’m gay,” he said. “I’m happy.”
Surprisingly, wrestling fans — who devotedly watch a weekly spectacle of greased-up bodybuilders rolling around in tight embraces with each other — were surprised.
“He’s gay?” tweeted @DarrenYoungRules, a 18-year-old fan who has dozens of posters of a shirtless Young on his bedroom wall. “Now I don’t know what to believe.”
Some bigoted wrestling fans, unfortunately, were disappointed by Young’s announcement.
“Let’s get back to macho stuff,” tweeted one fan. “You know, like Daniel Bryan’s makeover.”
