Snack food manufacturer Hostess, which announced in late-2012 that it would cease operations due to a labor dispute, has seen renewed profitability thanks to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s recent on-air plug of the company’s new Twinkie Tits snack product.

Sales have been booming for the sweet treat — a cream-filled cake similar to a regular Twinkie, but with a hard candy “nipple” — ever since Johnson mentioned it during WWE’s flagship TV program, Monday Night Raw.

Although Johnson was making a derogatory allusion to the corpulent physique of wrestling manager Paul Heyman, the comment nonetheless served as an invaluable endorsement of the product.

“Hostess was doomed for closure in the first fiscal quarter of 2013, but Johnson’s endorsement of TwinkieTits has caused a drastic turnaround for the company’s fortunes,” reported The Wall Street Journal.

“Twinkie Tits are now flying off the shelves.”

A number of other snack manufacturers noticed similar spikes in profits after Johnson rhymed off the names of several chocolate bars during a diatribe about CM Punk’s “candy ass.”
