What happens when three former teammates whose acrimonious split made them bitter rivals end up in the same WWE ring together?

Fans assumed sparks would fly when former Shield members Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose finally came face-to-face this week on Monday Night Raw — and those assumptions were warranted and correct!

To the utter surprise of no one, the men exchanged verbal jabs, each claiming to be better than the other, during an episode of the Ambrose Asylum talk show.

Ambrose made sarcastic wisecracks, Rollins spouted megalomaniacal hyperbole, and Reigns stood mostly mute while making tough-guy facial expressions until the whole situation devolved inevitably into fisticuffs.

“I did not see that coming,” commented nobody in the arena or watching on live television.
