Fans of sports-entertainment have been demanding one “dream match” for years, and World Wrestling Entertainment is going to make dreams come true at WWE SummerSlam® this July 30, which will be headlined by a showdown between returning retirees Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan.
“I can’t believe I get to see Ric Flair’s final match,” tweeted one fan. “Again, I mean. For the fourth time.”
Flair (73) has been reportedly training for months in anticipation of the showdown, and Hogan (immortal, but also 68), but also is reportedly looking “oranger than ever.”
Some sports-entertainment pundits have expressed concern that, at their relatively advanced ages, Hogan and Flair won’t be able to sports-entertain with the same intensity as they did in their heydays.
But Flair insists he has been working on his top-rope offence, and Hogan was reportedly confident about winning when he told his brother something.
