Legendary professional wrestler “Nature Boy” Ric Flair may have retired again (again) from typical bouts, but he is again coming out of retirement again to compete in a bloodsoaked “deathmatch” tournament.

Flair, 84, will do battle at the XPW King of the Deathmatch tournament, fulfilling a lifelong dream of wrestling in a hardcore style in the promotion led by entertainment mogul Rob Black.

In the first round of the tournament, the Nature Boy will square off against Shlak in a 200-light-tubes-electrified-barbed-wire-10,000-thumbtacks match.

If Flair defeats Shlak, he is up against Necro Butcher in the second round with a “Fans Bring the Weapons” bloodbath including gusset plates, scissors, a plastic water jug on the end of a stick for some reason.

Flair says that, if he makes it to the finals of the tournament, his dream is to do a flaming-table bump from the rooftop of the billiard hall where the event is being held, ideally with Flair’s “personal hero,” John Zandig.

Flair promises he’ll retire after the deathmatch tournament, and then wrestle Joey Janela the following weekend at Gathering of the Juggalos.

Keep it kayfabe, brother — get the gear
