Hollywood insiders are reporting today that the long-awaited biographical drama about the life and times of sports-entertainer Hulk Hogan has been green-lit and will star Leonardo DiCaprio as Hogan.
The film, tentatively titled Telling My Brother Something: The Hulk Hogan Story, will see DiCaprio portray Hogan’s his meteoric rise as a sports-entertainer, Hollywood star, and hero to millions who never did or said anything gross or offensive.
According to sources close to DiCaprio, the star is currently gaining 175 pounds for the role through an intense daily regimen of training, prayers, vitamins and ICO PRO.
Portraying the role will require many gruelling hours in a make-up chair to transform into a Hogan look-alike, including a skullet transplant and a daily dousing in orange paint.
DiCaprio is known for fully immersing himself in his roles, from his early days as Luke on Growing Pains to his breakout role as Fezzik in The Princess Bride.
The movie will be produced by WWE Studios, which, if history is any indication, practically guarantees the film will sweep the Oscars.
