Polarizing professional wrestler John Cena had a minor scare today after an unpleasant heel turn, but he says he’s feeling better after putting a bag of frozen peas on it for a while.

Cena was jogging on an uneven sidewalk this morning when he stumbled over a small curb, thus making his heel turn in a painfully awkward manner.

“Ouch,” he grumbled, removing his left sneaker to discovery a rapidly swelling ankle. “Dangit.”

Cena then hobbled home, iced the ankle and kept it elevated on the soft cushion of his girlfriend’s surgically enhanced bosom.

Remarkably, the minor injury was Cena’s first-ever heel turn, despite more than a decade of avid jogging, wrestling, and other physically demanding pastimes.

There have been times in the past when a heel turn looked imminent, but he has prevented them from happening by pumping up his inflated Reebok sneakers for ankle support.

Some jaded wrestling fans have been hoping for years that Cena would suffer a major heel turn, since an ankle injury would potentially keep him out of the WWE title picture for a while.

His heel is expected to make a full recovery, allowing him to beat Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the 74th time.
