Cena signs five-match contract with Saudi-based LIV Wrestling

Just weeks after his so-called retirement match, WWE legend John Cena shocked fans worldwide when he confirmed today that he has signed a five-match deal with WWE’s biggest competitor in the Middle East, Liv Wrestling.

Cena is the latest in a slew of big-name sports entertainers who have been lured away from WWE, and retirement, with lucrative 14-figure contacts.

Cena confirmed via TOUT that he is “proud to be part of the Liv Wrestling family,” and vowed to abide by his personal motto of “Initiative, Fidelity, and Regard” (his original motto “Hustle Loyalty Respect” remains a registered trademark of WWE).

According to leaked Liv Wrestling documents, other recent signees include:

  • Vince McMahon. Starting salary: $1,383,816,346,038,372,464. Four dates.
  • Brock Lesnar. Starting salary: $4,494,038,427,394,286, plus 15 percent royalty on merch. One date.
  • Andre the Giant, reanimated via AI and robotics; patent pending.
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin: Starting salary: $3,163,163,163,163,163,163.

Liv Wrestling’s first annual WrestlingMania spectacular will be held at Saudi Arabia’s new UltraMegaDome, which can hold the entire population of the country, and attendance is mandatory.
