There was a lot of buzz and anticipation leading up to Sunday’s AEW All Out pay-per-view, but the event utterly failed to live up to the hype according to thousands of wrestling fans who vented their disappointment online.

“What a sh**-show that was,” remarked on fan on Twitter, adding that he “will never, ever watch AEW again after that debacle.”

Fans were universally disappointed by the plodding, clumsy tag-team steel cage match between The Young Bucks (Matt and Tito Jackson) and the Lucha Bros (Kalisto and Octagon Jr.).

But most of the fans’ anger was directed at CM Punk, who returned to the ring after a long hiatus drastically overweight, visibly drunk, and dangerously botching moves on opponent Darby Allin.

Longtime wrestling journalist Dan Mutzler gave the event an unprecedented “negative-six stars,” and reported that AEW is receiving intense pressure to issue refunds.

Internet wrestling forums are buzzing today with fans expressing their vitriol over the so-called “surprise” appearances that literally everybody knew was coming, like Adam Cole and Ruby Soho (“Ruby so ho-hum,” wrote one angry commenter).

The event also saw the arrival of WWE cast-off Daniel Bryan (under the ridiculous ring name “Brian Danielson”), but most fans had turned off the program in frustration by that point.
