Adult male fans of professional wrestling have issued a warning to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) stating that if John Cena wins at Survivor Series, they will whine endlessly in online forums and on Twitter.

A number of grown men have already devoted hours to creating cardboard signs bearing the slogan “If Cena Wins, We Whine,” which they intend to hold overhead tonight at the TD Garden in Boston, where the event is being held.

The promise of post-Cena-win whining is a softened and more realistic variation of a previous slogan — “If Cena Wins, We Riot” — which repeatedly proved to be a hyperbolic overstatement.

Since no riots have ever resulted from a John Cena victory in the past, the fans decided to come up with a catchy slogan that more accurately portrays their tame intentions.

Since rising to prominence in World Wrestling Entertainment a decade ago, Cena has won thousands of matches, resulting in countless gripes, whines, and snarky memes on the internet.

The majority of those complaints have come from males who, if they were just 10 years younger, would idolize Cena.

It is believed that the fans might soon soften the slogan once again to: “Cena Wins: Meh.”
