A new study reveals that a disturbingly low proportion of participants in WWE’s Survivor Series pay-per-view have survived long enough to celebrate the event’s 25th anniversary.

Among the participants in original Survivor Series who the failed to exemplify the event’s title are: Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, Hercules, Miss Elizabeth, The Fabulous Moolah, Sensational Sherri, Davey Boy Smith, Dino Bravo, Rick Rude and Bam Bam Bigelow.

The number of non-surviving Survivor Series participants skyrockets if you tally every incarnation of the event over its 25-year history.

“The name of the pay-per-view is quite inaccurate, it turns out,” said Prof. Reginald Gribbin, who conducted the survey for the American Committee for Accuracy in Advertising.

“We recommend that WWE change the name of the event to the Probably-Won’t-Survive-Much-Longer Series.”
