Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is once again mired in a plagiarism controversy, as parts of his 2013 WWE Hall of Fame speech bear striking similarities to the 2005 induction speech by The Fabulous Moolah.

“I am proud to have been a trailblazer for women in pro wrestling,” Trump said in his speech, which did seem like a strange thing for him to say.

Careful textual analysis by linguistic experts reveals that up to 87 percent of Trump’s speech is “strongly reminiscent” of Moolah’s, including:

  • Moolah: “The only limit to the height of your achievements in wrestling is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to cheat when the referee isn’t looking.”
  • Trump: “The only limit to the height of your achievements in wrestling is the reach of your wealth and your willingness to lie when everyone is looking.”

Trump denies the allegations of plagiarism, insisting he has “literally no idea what that word means.”
