Pro wrestling mogul Vince McMahon is reportedly expanding his sports-entertainment empire once again with the creation of XSL, a slap-fighting league “with attitude.”

The XSL will feature all of the slap-fighting action that fans have come to expect during drunken late-night YouTube browsing — but will also include elaborate storylines, a weekly three-hour live TV program called SlapDown, and cheerleaders.

McMahon announced that the initial XSL roster will feature some of the world’s more powerful slappers, as well as well as celebrity slapper Will Smith.

In a recorded message released today, McMahon said: “Quite frankly, I think that you, the audience, are, quite frankly, tired of having your intelligence insulted. We also think that you’re tired of the same old simplistic theory of good guys versus bad guys. Surely the era of professional wrestling is passe — and, quite frankly, slap-fighting is the future of sports and entertainment, quite frankly.”

The inaugural XSL SlappaMania pay-per-view airs Feb. 29.
