Legendary professional sports-entertainer Kurt Angle achieved yet another milestone today when, for the first time since his triumphant return to WWE, he correctly enunciated the name of the company.

“It is so great to be back in double-you-double-you-eee,” the former Olympian said during an in-ring monologue at a live event in the United Kingdom.

A look of happy surprise came over Angle’s face upon the realization that he pronounced “WWE” with perfect clarity, neither becoming tongue-tied nor involuntarily emitting any spittle.

Angle has been known to deliver the term “WWE” with a variety of not-quite-right pronunciations, including:

  • Dubba-Dubbaiee
  • Dub-Dubyee
  • Duh-duh’yee
  • Rub-a-Dub Whee
  • Hubba-Hubba-She
  • Tee En Eh

It is believed that Angle’s minor speech impediment is the result of the muscles in his tree-trunk-like neck constricting his voicebox, although that has never prevented him from delivering a heart-wrenchingly beautiful cover of “Jimmy Crack Corn.”

Angle initially denied that he has been taking elocution lessons, but later admitted that it is “damn true.”
