The hiring bonanza of former WWE talent to AEW (American Extreme Wrestling) continued today with another coup, as the upstart promotion signed former WWE Tag Team Champion Nicholas.

Nicholas burst onto the professional wrestling scene in a big way three years ago, winning the tag championships with partner Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 34 — an achievement that made him an instant legend in the sport.

Now that school is letting out for summer, Nicholas has his sights set on a return to the ring — but he shocked fans and pundits alike by joining AEW, which also recently signed WWE alumni Aleister Black (now named A-Lister White), Samoa Joe (now named Joey Maivia), and CM Punk (now named Luchasaurus).

Although fans haven’t seen Nicholas compete lately, do not expect any “ring rust” on him — he has been working as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center on weekends, sharing his knowledge with up-and-coming talent.

Due to copyright reasons, Nicholas will not compete as “Nicholas” in AEW, but re-branded as The Youngest Buck.
