Wrestling fans were unanimously surprised today by Ted DiBiase Jr.’s video announcement that he is leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, since the vast majority of fans were unaware he still worked for the company.
“I have decided not to re-sign with WWE and renew my contract,” DiBiase said in the three-minute video, which most viewers assumed was filmed sometime last year.
Most wrestling fans believed DiBiase’s WWE contract had been terminated many months ago, leaving many puzzled by today’s emotional video.
The third-generation wrestler said he is leaving WWE in order to spend more time with his family, which is presumably what he has been doing all along instead of performing on WWE television.
In related news, JTG shocked fans today with a video insisting that he is still, in fact, employed by WWE.
