Online forums devoted to professional wrestling are abuzz this week as thousands of grown men have intensely debated the possible identity of a large, dancing white rabbit.

Without a hint of irony, the adult males — a number of them actually college-educated — heatedly discussed the physiological characteristics and potential motivations of the rabbit, which accompanies party enthusiast Adam Rose to the ring.

“Look at the superkick the Bunny delivered last week — that’s HBK under there,” wrote one commenter in WrestleForumz, suggesting with apparent earnestness that the bunny is portrayed by retired WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

In actuality, the bunny, which has appeared as part of the so-called Exotic Express ever since Rose’s debut earlier this year, has likely been portrayed by a rotating cast of WWE roadies and desperate indy wrestlers, but that hasn’t stopped grown men from discussing the topic.

Other fans have suggested, apparently without feeling shame or embarrassment about how they expend their mental energies, that the bunny is portrayed by Sami Zayn, Darren Young, Tyson Kidd, and Mordecai.

Of course, all such debate is meaningless, since it’s obvious to anyone with a brain that the bunny is actually a magical, oversized forest critter who enjoys partying and dislikes lemons.
