The surprising victory by underdog wrestler Heath Slater on last Monday’s episode of WWE Raw has been revealed to be the handiwork of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Slater defeated odds-on favorite Dolph Ziggler in what has turned out to be a charitable act of wish-fulfilment intended to brighten Slater’s glum existence.

Ziggler selflessly threw the match to create the feel-good moment for Slater, whose admitted “biggest dream in life” has been to win a main-event match on Raw.

“The cute little guy deserved a happy moment,” said Ziggler. “I think he’ll be on cloud nine for a while.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has enjoyed a long relationship with World Wrestling Entertainment, enabling sick children to meet their heroes — or, if their heroes are busy, The Usos.

Although Slater is neither a child nor terminally ill, the special wish was granted for him because he has reportedly been “really down in the dumps” ever since his 3MB bandmates got fired.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has future plans to grant Vince McMahon a heart, John Cena courage, and Brock Lesnar a brain.
