Fans of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) are brimming with excitement as the so-called “Road to Extreme Rules” passes through Texas for a live event this weekend.

Sunday’s event will see the Superstars® and Divas® of WWE compete in the last significant stop before Extreme Rules, the biggest wrestling pay-per-view extravaganza of the year, which will be held on May 22 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The biggest storylines and feuds of WWE will begin a slow crescendo this weekend, reaching their climactic apex at Extreme Rules, which is considered the “grandest stage” in sports entertainment.

Fans are also excited for the Raw after Extreme Rules, the Monday program on which new rivalries are sparked from the fallout of the previous night’s spectacular.

This Sunday’s event, dubbed “WrestleMania,” is widely considered to be one of WWE’s second-tier, or “filler,” pay-per-views.

It will likely draw a smaller audience than Extreme Rules due to over-saturation of the pay-per-view market, and because it showcases “B-plus players” such as Shane McMahon, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar.
