World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced that tonight’s “Old School Raw” will feature the long-awaited rematch between wrestling legends George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch.

Dubbed “The Rematch 103 Years in the Making,” the bout will finally determine which man is superior: the barrel-chested master of the bearhug (Hackenschmidt) or the barrel-chested master of the toe-hold (Gotch).

The two men haven’t tangled since their infamous showdown in front of 30,000 fans at Chicago’s Comisky Park in September 1911.

It is generally expected that their rematch tonight will be somewhat shorter than their two-hour bout in Chicago, and will probably be sandwiched between a Divas Pillow Fight and a Bad News Barrett segment.

The shorter match will probably suit both competitors just fine, since each has been dead for the better part of a century.

Inexplicably, WWE has billed the match as “Once in a Lifetime.”
