Professional wrestler and priest Mordecai has once again been overlooked for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, sparking cries of outrage from his legions of fans worldwide.

Mordecai, who skyrocketed to international superstardom during his four-month WWE “run” in the summer of 2004, is almost universally held in the same high regard as Hall of Famers such as Bob Backlund, Bruno Sammartino, and Hulk Hogan.

WWE’s repeated failure to immortalize Mordecai in its prestigious Hall of Fame has led many fans and pundits to speculate that he is the victim of a conspiracy.

“Mordecai is certainly as deserving as Andre the Giant and Steve Austin,” commented longtime wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer.

“He personifies what professional wrestling is all about.”

It is believed that Mordecai’s legacy is being deliberately “buried” by WWE Chief Operating Officer Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who is said to be jealous of Mordecai’s now-legendary feud with Scotty 2 Hotty.

Mordecai refused to speak to reporters on the matter, merely issuing this statement: “Repent, for thine judgement looms.”

So far, more than 40,000 fans have signed an online petition threatening a widespread boycott of WWE programming until Mordecai’s contributions are recognized.
