Having realized that Randy Savage will not be able to attend his own WWE Hall of Fame induction in California this March, World Wrestling Entertainment has retained the services of pro wrestler Jay Lethal to perform Savage’s acceptance speech.

Lethal will resurrect his “Black Machismo” persona, which he last performed for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling (during the frequent stops in action that make the company’s title such a comical oxymoron).

WWE reached out to Lethal after a recent series of video vignettes on Monday Night Raw demonstrated that nobody on the current roster is even remotely capable for performing a passable Randy Savage impersonation.

Asked whether he is nervous about finally making his WWE debut in such a prestigious role on the eve of WrestleMania, Lethal predictably replied: “Ooooh yeahhhhh.”

WWE has neither confirmed nor denied rumors that the Great Khali will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, with his acceptance speech delivered by an injured manatee.
