FOX News confirmed today that conservative television pundit Bill O’Reilly will serve as “guest host” of Total Non-Stop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s annual Slammiversary pay-per-view.

TNA issued a press release stating that O’Reilly, who is best known for his acerbic political commentary and his hilariously profane tantrums, will bring “fair and balanced” insight to the event.

It is widely believed that recruiting O’Reilly is TNA’s attempt to compete with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which announced today that recently retired Daily Show anchor Jon Stewart will host this Sunday’s SummerSlam event.

O’Reilly and Stewart have been been on-air rivals for much of the past decade, with Stewart using his rapier wit to battle against O’Reilly’s combative, right-wing numbskullery.

While SummerSlam will likely draw a much larger viewership than Slammiversary, O’Reilly is expected to blame that disparity on the failed presidency of Barack Obama.
