Pop sensation Justin Bieber announced today that he intends to retire from the music business if he loses to The Undertaker this April at WrestleMania 30.

It is believed that the WrestleMania showdown will feature a “Career-versus-Career” stipulation, in which the loser must vanish from the spotlight permanently.

It has long been suspected that The Undertaker will permanently retire after WrestleMania 30, but Bieber’s sudden announcement of an impending retirement was a surprise to many.

Even more surprising was his insistence to “follow in the footsteps of the original boy toy, the Heartbreak Kid” (referring to wrestler Shawn Michaels, who lost a retirement match to The Undertaker in 2010).

Bieber is the physical underdog in the upcoming battle — he is 19 years old and weighs 88 pounds, including hair mousse — but experts say his colossal ego makes up for his lack in size.

A small but growing minority of fans believe Bieber will break the Undertaker’s streak (although nearly all of those fans are squealing 14-year-old girls).

Speculation has run rampant about a Bieber-Undertaker showdown ever since The Undertaker was spotted at a Bieber concert several months ago.
